Margan Valley Trek is the best weekend trek in Kashmir. It offers respite from the daily hustle-bustle and busyness of life and takes one into the breathtaking Margan meadow and four beautiful alpine lakes. The meadow is far stretching, giving lush green view of an entire area, and the lakes are cosily placed in-between the enticing mountains. The trek is easy and covers a total distance of 10 km. It starts from an altitude of 3,600 m and reaches to 3,917 m.
